Brighter Dash lights, there is a switch???

Ever since I had my Yaris, at night when I turned on my lights the dash lights would be very dull, just recently I got auto doorlocks and I got the car back and the dash lights were way brighter, my friend who worked on my car said there was a switch on the dash board.

Does anybody know where this switch is?

yeah, its on the left hand side. its a little roll with a pic of a light bulb above it. its small, like only an inch or two long.you push the roll-y thing all the way up and it stops, but you can push it a bit further and it will snap into place and then the lights are brighter. it took me a few weeks to figure out how to make the lights brighter, too!

OMG LOL! Not knockin' you, it's just funny. I almost freaked out one time when I was cleaning my Vibe because of that same switch. Polished up the dash, started the car, and NONE of the dash lights worked... what the hell?!?! I'd accidentally turned the knob all the way down, which turns the lights out entirely... it actually took me several minutes to realize what I'd done. I'm so paranoid about stuff breaking, I just knew something had burned up!
