ofcorse. but i go tired on page 4. and skipped to the last pages.
havent found any info about it.
by the way. just now i looked in the 2007 manual - cruise controll. and its exactly as described. also has the plugs as shown. the same wires. and need the same resistors.
i think it will work the same as my dealer said: "its exactly the same vehicle. 2007 2008 2009 no changes what so ever" he was right.

the post is for AT and MT... but here we have only Robotic Transmission... so i think i'll consider robotic transmission as an automatic transmission... hope it will work.

any advice guys?

Does your 07 have the brown and blue wires in the D3 connector?

Also, does it have the cruise indicator on the combination meter?

If it doesn't have the D3 wires, then it will require the work that nickhjort did on page 16 of the other thread. Once all of the trial and error is sorted out in the other thread we'll put together a DIY for Yaris which need the additional work.

mariann,
It's pretty straight forward. Just cut the ziptie at the top of the cover VERY CARFULLY! Do not cut any of the wires, obviously, or you will be SOL big time. After cutting the ziptie, there are two clips on the left side of the cover. push them in and lift. Then you will see two hooks on the back of the cover, life the cover and pull so that hooks release. And to reinstall the cover just do the opposite. You will have to have a ziptie to replace the one you cut. If you don't have a ziptie, the clips and hooks will hold the cover in place, but the wires undernieth will be hanging loose. Here's some pics...hope they help.

A couple of people have purchased OEM stalks and will be installing them. Hopefully one will document the process for those interested.

I don't have the electrical wiring diagrams for the European Yaris to verify that all is the same as for our USDM ones.

The on/off button just enables the cruise control. When you push the set button, that's when the ecm know what speed to keep the engine cruising at. Usualy right when i turn my car on I hit the cruise on/off button. Then when I hit the highway and get to the speed I want, I hit the set button and the car remains at that speed. The way CTScott set up the two button system (I have them set up the same way and have tested this), you can also use the set button as the -1mph button...meaning if you're cruise is set at a certain speed and you want it to be just a little bit slower, whenever you hit the set button again it will decrease the speed 1mph. Or you can hold the set button and you will start coasting and when you slow down to your desired speed, you let go of the set button and it will remain at whatever speed you were at when you let go. Hope this explains it well enough mariann.

Check this out. It's for a Matrix, but the Yaris one is identical in looks and mounting:

I used to have a Pontiac with cruise control and no indicator lights. In my experience, there's no light actually needed - it's quite obvious whether the cruise is on or off simply from how the car behaves. As for the "Set" light, you'll know immediately if the speed isn't set because the car slows down when you take your foot off the gas.

I'm going to install cruise on my '08 with the proper switch and very tidy wiring when I get around to it. The goal is to make a sufficiently tidy installation that even a Toyota tech will think it's factory, and it will take a lot of looking to prove otherwise.

However, I'm not even going to try for indicator lights. It would be nice, but you don't really need them.

OK, almost have the cruise install complete. I have the 08 Yaris LB with no cruise light on the dash. I tapped the ECM a-21 connector @ position 40 and ran the wire to the cruise on/off switch on the dash.
Last question: How do I wire the new clutch switch I just installed? Does the wire from the ecm go to the clutch switch first, and then continue to the cruise on/off switch on the dash?
