Lubricate Door Locks...but how?

I imagine that this is a simple question...anyway, Toyota's service schedule has them lubricating the door locks every service...but how do they do this?

Are they taking the door panels off to do it? Or do they simply spray some lube into the part where the door contacts the body? ...or the keyhole? I should mention that I have automatic (electric) locks in my car (and only have keyholes on the driver's door).

Also, would it be okay to use white lithium grease?

Thanks everyone!

The best lubricant for locks is powdered graphite, but it is messy. You need an aerosol of light oil containing teflon, specifically for locks. Grease is too thick, the tumblers will stick and the grease will attract dirt and grit which acts as an abrasive, not good! Oil will wash through taking out old lubricant and dirt. Push the rainwater shutter to one side with a small screwdriver and spray the oil in, A lot of grit is introduced into both door and ignition locks by dirty keys. Keep them clean.

this is the brand i keep in my tool box i usually sprinkle some on the key and insert it and turn it a couple of times. Careful when squeezing the tube a lot will come out usually i just tap it a few times. Works good for sticky zippers on your jacket as well
