ABS light on. Help.

The other day I had to press my brakes hard suddenly and right after my abs light came on. I thought maybe it was just letting me know that my abs brakes were just enabled but my light will not go off. I reset it twice via scan tool but after about 10 seconds of no light, it comes right back on. It is ONLY my abs light. I took it too toyota and they said its either my wire or my sensor in my front left of the vehicle and want lots of money. Any help is extremely appreciated. Why is it all of a sudden broken from having to actually use my brakes ??

They go bad. Can be damaged by road debris. Plug and play install.

No lift here, so wheel always comes off. It's a good time to check the brakes also.

Not sure what you mean by when I asked if I can remove my sensor without removing brakes/rotors? Maybe I have to remove tire only? Thanks.

If you can get to the back of the hub area, look for the sensor cable.
I find it easier to remove the tire and get a light in there but you may be agile enough
to lay on the ground.
I never replaced one on the Yaris but I have on others.
Should just plug in on both ends.
