Honestly, that car would never compete with a Subaru and they know it. They are deflecting the obvious with political posturing. I wish Ford luck as they are an American company, however I believe they are backing themselves into a corner by going all in with SUV’s and crossovers. All it takes is one downturn, or a swing in consumers’ tastes and they are behind the curve on manufacturing.

Perhaps Ford should stick to Trucks/SUVs, as their cars have always sucked for one reason or another.

^^^ Actually, the only thing I check out on MSN is automotive news... and I post what I think may be of interest to some of our Yarisworld members. Just trying to stimulate a little forum activity.

My first reaction to Ford not selling cars anymore in the US was WTF? Now, with the Trump tariffs looming ominously over the US, only the Mustang will be for sale in the "car" category. The Focus Active was at least a step in the right direction for the future of Ford, in my opinion.
I sure hope Toyota continues to produce and provide cars to those of us who prefer them. |

I believe a large part of the active not coming to the US is 1) wont be made in the US (Chinese right?), 2) like mentioned itll have to compete with the Mexican made Cruze hb, and Toyota hb and the almighty forester/outback

New model Focus has just been announced for Australia. It's due in December, with a $4500 price rise over the current model. Apparently the current model is made in Thailand, and the new model will be made in Germany.

Well that could be since that the Yaris has not changed much, most of the questions about the Yaris diy's and mods have been asked or talked to death, and...CTScott appears to have left the building. That dude was a huge contributor and created plenty of discussion.

I think Scott just doesn't post or anything, but I'm sure he still tinkers around with his many Yarii. |
