HEY Amsoil Specialist MAN - Dilemma

Here is my problem - self inflicted.

My wife has a 2005 Subaru Baja with a non turbo auto transmission.
I changed out the front differential to
75W-90 Synthetic Long Life Gear Lube (FGRQT)
and I changed the rear differential to
75W-90 Synthetic Long Life Gear Lube (FGRQT).

Here's where I went wrong:
Front capacity is 1.3 quarts
Rear is .8 quarts.
I under filled the rear by .2 quarts and over filled the front by .2 quarts.

Now I can open the front drain plug momentarily and hope it to get it to the right level, but with the rear I am stuck.

It took 6 weeks to get the 75W-90 Synthetic Long Life Gear Lube, and my wife needs the car Monday morning.

I have gotten a hold of .75 quarts (.05 quarts shy of fill up) of
SEVERE GEAR 75W-90 Synthetic EP Lubricant (SVGQT).

HERE'S the question.
Should I drain the rear and re-fill it with what I have and leave it .05 qt under filled, Or should I just top it off with the SEVERE GEAR lube?

Anxiously awaiting your reply!
Thanks

Top it off. It shouldn't be a problem.

the drain is there as an automatic levler. or the fill i mean. you fill up the fill plug till fluid comes out, wipe clean and insert plug.

i dont see how you could have over-filled it.

but, you can use a syphon pump. walmart for under 10 bux.

Done deal....
Opened the drain plug on the front, expelled 8 oz. and refilled to top level.
On the rear, drained it all out and replaced it with the Severe Gear lube to slightly below the plug level. Didn't want to mix the two togetherl

Glad you figured it all out. I missed your thread over here at YW, that is if you were asking about tranny oil on Micro Image. If not disregard.

Go to an auto parts store and get a suction pump to get the over filled oil down to correct level
