2010 Suzuki Kizashi

I attended the media event for the 2010 Suzuki Kizashi. Nice vehicle—a lot of car for the money. Good handling, AWD option, 185 hp. A potential big hit for Suzuki?

Truly, it is a very nice vehicle. As I mentioned in the article, if Suzuki can get enough people into its showrooms to drive the vehicle, they could have a winner—if not a segment leader—on it's hands.

A really nice looking car. The name makes me think though...

I know many of us dislike the western names our cars got stuck with, and sometimes go as far as replacing the badges to JP spec.

Kizashi seems a little bit awkward for the average American consumer. I'd like to see Suziki do a tad better in the states. Prehaps a rename would be appropriate in this case. <sound like breakfast cereal to anyone?>

If i'd known more about them before I bought the yaris, i might have ended up with an SX4 (really dig that little car)..

I edited your post

we have yet to see with the newest vehicles...they changed platforms and chassis/engines and moved away from using GM parts.

I can tell you though from a rental car standpoint, the last batch we had of gm/suzuki's forenza(daewoo) and XL-7 (trailblazer) they weren't in the shop as much as the rest of the gm vehicles.....

Well, Suzuki is 11th out of 36 (I believe) on J.D. Power's 2009 Initial Quality survey. It had the biggest jump from 2008-2009. It was up more than 20 places.

Thus far, our 2009 SX4 has been very reliable.

actually, Suzuki are reliable..in Japan at least. I've sat in one and drove one, way better in comparison to what they offer here LOL.

In US, they suck, elsewhere...not really...

I'm glad it's a lot of car for the money, but it doesn't turn my head at all. Sorry, thumbs down for exterior design.

Any interior shots?

Most cars have fake exhaust.....

Just look at them carefully, and you can tell very easily.

Even more expensive cars like the IS-F, any S class with the AMG package, and even the GT-R.

Remember its the look that counts at the end, not how it works the best. WHich is why most people go aftermarket.
