STP Injector Cleaner

waste of money ?

This detergent really cleans injectors?

On the recommended bottle every 10,000km or 6,000 miles

Help keep clean injector
* is it necessary

Even Toyota has a product branded and its 350ml in european market.

Its preventative maintenance . Wont do miracles and wont hurt either.

I use it every time I get a chance. :)

you want a product with PEA, polyetheramine. that's what does the actual cleaning. gumout, techron, and even a motomaster fuel system cleaner in canada, all have pea in them.

No such requirement in the owners manual under Service.

Every 6000 miles? You gotta be kidding me!

Never had a problem with gunked up injectors and Im 60 years old and keep my cars at least 100k miles.

But I also use brand name gas.

Most mechanics that work on a lot of modern Toyota's and Honda's will tell you it's not needed and more a waste of money. If your car is properly maintained you won't need. When I bought the Yaris I got some STP fuel injector cleaner in one of those car care bundles from Walmart and I must say I didn't notice any actual difference. I think it's only worth it on old vehicles with lots of miles that have much simpler and less efficient fuel injection and emission systems.

I like BG products. I would only use 44k or supercharge II

Just use top tier gas and none of that cheap stuff that will cause clogged injectors and carbon build up on the valves.

better to clean the injectors physically.
i decided to remove and clean it when there was minor o-ring leak that turned to be a major fuel leak.

Clean the injectors via fuel line method and then u can see the difference.

These additives makes very little difference.
