i.....am.......confused......

so i get the front sway bar, ordering the rear soon, i install it, and no troubles
drive the car to work, fine, handles a little better, i like it so far

on my way home i take a left turn at a decently high speed, im not drifting or anything, just hugging the corner a little. well my check engine light starts blinking, so i back of the throttle, turn my music off and listen, it stops blinking and stays off....i pop the hood take a look, everything looks fine.

next day, same corner, same speed, same blinking, but this time it stays on, get home, turn car off, pop hood, nothing seems wrong, check fluids and electrical connections, all good, check engine light still on..........suggestions
im going to call a repair shop on monday, but id like to try and figure the problem myself before i have to drop a bunch of cash, its very frustrating when i go to work, fix multimillion dollar aircraft and my yaris confuses me...lol

Maybe knocked a connector slightly loose and the forces of the curve are enough to break contact?

I thought flashing CE lights were typical of misfire problems.

^ yes - blinking CEL is not good, definitely not related to maintenance required. if both came on, you might have an electrical problem.

why not take it to the dealership? are you out of warranty?

where did you get your front sway bar?

no its not maint reqd, just changed the oil in fact.
no main reqd light at all, CE light started blinking in the curve, and for a couple secs afterwards, then stayed solid.....not out of warranty, was just trying to figure it out on my own for now.

whats a scangauge II?

and i got the strut bar from micro. figured it might have been some kind of shorting problem considering its mounted almost directly over the battery contacts.

An 09 has to be still under warranty, let the dealer figure it out. A Scan gauge is an onboard engine computer..http://www.scangauge.com/

if you don't want to spend the cash on a scanguage II you can also go to an advanced auto or other auto parts store and they usually have a code reader that they will let you use for free... it came in handy with my old car a few times

On the lower left side of the dash, there is a compartment. Remove the compartment and behind is the OBD II connector.

Actually if you look underneath that compartment the OBD11 connector is pointing straight down,no need to remove the compartment door..

Just a thought, when you changed the oil did you fill it properly with new oil??? If not going around a corner might oil starve the enging and thus the light would come on.
