Exclamation This happen to anybody else?

so every now and then when I start it up the cluster is like REALLY dim to a point where I can barely see it....anybody else have this problem? this just started few months ago. took her to the dealership and they wanted $140 up front before they'd even look at it.....and btw what's the warrenty on this thing? they treid to tell me that it was out of warrenty

Can you fix it by touching the dimmer knob? Move it back and forth a few times and see if it improves. Is your dimmer turned all the way to the end and locked in place?

$140 up-front? You better put your foot in their down-back for that offer!

For as long as I've known the base warranty is exactly one year after purchase date.

see I tried fiddlin with the dimmer and no dice. and it is all the way up too......it's almost like the corners are on but they ain't just the runnin lights

36,000 miles or 3 years

check your grounds and fuses.

and tell us EVERY modification that's been done to your car. aftermarket parts are the number 1 cause of factory part failure lol

Is the illumination of the AT shifter and AC Controls dim as well?


If they are all dim, check the GAUGE fuse. If just the speedometer is dim, check the MET fuse.

If its not under warranty find an honest mechanic, if it is under warranty find another dealer even if it means going all the way to Toledo,whatever you do dont go back to your current dealer as he's just out to screw you..
