oil catch question

I did the DIY oil catch, but within the last few months, almost every week i have to empty it, because it full of water. I know there suppose to be condensation but that much normal. There also no oil in there which is good, but can it be bad since the water could be stopping the oil from getting caught? Thanks.

Or just condensed moisture from blowby fumes in the crankcase.

The temperature various from 23F to about -31F. depends on week. Also some time my drives are 25km to work or 500km plus. Either way there still water. But summer its fine no water and hardly any oil. Thanks.

You need to provide more specific information. Is the oil catch can installed properly? Is the water clear and how much? Is there water in the crankcase? Is the engine runing OK? Do you have CAI?

I installed the oil catch can the same as in the DIY. The water is sometimes clear, cloudy, sometime brown from the oil when it mixed together. The crankcase is find, the oil is it usual color. No white on the dipstick. The engine runs smooth, No problem starting, under stress, at idle or start up. I don't have a CAI, stock tubing just a AFE drop in filter. How often does that filter in the air catch tube have to be changed, and how do to clean it? That the only thing i haven't done. I'm at 150000km now.

Any more specific information that can help or that I'm missing that can figure out this problem let me know. Thanks
