How much do u think insurance should cost for..

21 year old gal, got permit at 14, license at 16, clean record. Full coverage (liability, comprehensive, and collision) on Yaris "S" fully loaded. How much do you think? I can't be put under parents cuz I live in TX by myself. I only got 1 quote so far.. don't wanna type it yet cuz I think it might influence your 'guess' or opinion on what it should be around. Thx

I'm paying 470.00 for full coverage with a 1,000 deductible with my yaris for 6 months. I'm 53 years old with a perfectly clean record. Seems way high to me.

Well I'm a 22 year old male with a clean record and I think my premium is really good considering my age...$482 for 6 months with $500 deductible (I also have uninsured motorist protection).

Alrighty... I'm givin it up.. my esurance quote was $1148 *if paid in lump sum, if not, it's bout 150 higher* for 6 months, with $500 deductible. Why such a big diff b/t me and 22 yr old male? Do you have comprehensive/collision or just liablility w/ uninsured motorist? Which companies are good for youngn's?

BTW.. do you have purchase renter insurance or home insurance for the place that you are living? Since multiple insurance can reduce your auto insurance.. In most of the time it will reduce your total payment when you purchase home and auto together, compare to just auto insurance alone.

24 Male and I'm paying about u$130 A/m (roughly 730 per semester).
Talk to an agent (of any company) to try to get all the discounts you can. A friend of mine works for Allstate (my insurance company), and she saved me almost $30 a month in discounts (Good student, which I deserve ;) and stuff like that).
The first quote seems high however considering a clean record, you've had your license for a while now and the likes. The second quote seems reasonable. Just take some time to call some agents and see what can they do for you.

I'm paying just about $900 a year for insurance. 24 y/o female with clean history. $500 deductable and full coverage. I was lucky and was able to sign up with USAA because my dad had it while he was in the military. They gave me a much better deal than any other quotes I got by at least $100 each and those were only for minimum coverage with a lot of basics like windshield replacement excluded. If you happen to be in the military, married to someone in the military, retired from military, or a child of someone who has/had USAA while in the military, check out USAA.
Of course, don't forget factors like what you use the car for, how much milage you put on the car, and where you live. I live in the suburbs and for the most part my car gets me to and from work. (usually ~10k miles a year)

Im in Canada, so ours rates arent exactly comparable for any number of reasons... veh insurance in the US and Canada are SO DIFFERENT.

But I pay 243$/month

I'm 25, no tickets or anything. Had my full G licence since Mar 2003, my G2 in Mar 00, and my first one, G1 back in Nov 98.

When I turned 25, my insurance dropped by OVER HALF (in Canada, ALWASY have huge drop offs once u hit 25). its why I just bought a car now. I simply didn't wanna pay more for insurance each month than I was paying for my car.

Other things that reduce your insurance (up here anyways)

1. Dont live in a large city... MUCH MUCH MUCH rates than if you live in a smaller city or town (more traffic, larger highways/freeways, therefore higher chance of accidents and claims gonna be made, therefore pay much more for insurance)
2. If you are insurance more than one vehicle or have like other forms of insurance thru the same company
3. Get married
4. The safer the vehicle, the cheaper your insurance will be

Those are ones I can quickly recall

Jem
