Very nice. Hyundai's big grille work looks good. Appears to be some decent cargo space for a sedan. Too bad the hatchback was dropped from the US market. (Still availbale in Canada).

How are you finding the seat comfort and driving characteristics, etc.?

Hyundai & Kia have always been better, overall, at the their rear styling (& overall body proportions) than their front styling IMO. I'm not of fan of their signature grillwork, front bumper designs in general, their usually weird-shaped fog light housings, or even most of their headlight design integrations. I also HATE HATE HATE the Honda-rip-off slanted 'H' logo emblem. They should not have gone with an 'H' at all & instead found something more creative/classy like what Mazda or Infinity (to name 2) have done with their logo emblem. Instead, they wilfully choose to look like a low-rent, rip-off Honda wannabe with that stupid slanted H emblem. Kia could have been a lot more creative with their lame, generic-looking emblem as well.

^^^ Unlike Toyota, I think Hyundai, Ford, Mazda, and Audi pull off the big grille look pretty well.

I do completely agree with you about the Hyundai slanted "H" emblem. Ugh. I even hate the Hyundai name!

Yes, Kia isn't much better with that cheap looking logo. Have you seen the Kia stylized replacement logos?

The latest Corolla sedan (SE/XSE) actually has a decent looking front headlight/grill/bumper design IMO (unlike the earlier version of it before the refresh). The only thing I don't like up-front is the placement & look of its LED DRL. What ruins the car more than anything in terms of aesthetics for me is the shape/design of rear bumper (gives the car a weak, wimpy/narrow stance from rear) & the horrible looking, tacky brownish muffler poking out from all rear viewing angles. Skinnier tires just aggravate the problem (just like it does on the Yaris & all cars pretty much).

The latest Yaris refresh had the right idea with sweeping out the bottom ends of its gaping maw for a wider looking stance, but ruined it with the bulging nose & how the top part of the grill integrates with the rest of the front. Still, in black, all the negatives are hidden & it manages to pull it off. Only the chrome inverted fog-light fangs (SE) really spoil it. The 2015-2017 SE headlights were also nicer IMO.

The latest Camry is just awful looking up front in the lower trims with its ultra-wide black-void grill-mouth. Same with the abomination known as the Avalon. Just awful. The sporty trim level Camry isn't bad, and isn't great - the Honda Accord looks better IMO, overall.

The cartoonish C-HR is a great example of the worst of Toyota styling IMO, as is the Prius. The latest Prius C actually looks decent up front, but the rear styling is among the worst I have ever seen on any car. WTF?

The 2019 Corolla hatch (& likely 2020 sedan) has a lispy, fish-face front styling that only a mother could love, & the headlight shape is just over-the-top stupid. Same with the trout-faced iA/Mazda2 posing as a Yaris sedan.

The 2019 RAV4 just sucks aesthetically, though it will appeal to the overcompensating types who want their SUV to look like a jagged Mad-Max Truck married to a dystopian cartoon (basically a C-HR on steroids).

Funny I think the back isn't half bad, but the front...OMG! Toyota needs to get rid of those huge stupid black inserts where the fog lights should be. They're not even smooth. The horizontal "spines" overlapping the actual shape are hideous.

The ride and handling are fine for now . Checked tires and read 33 which is advised . States during colder temps can be set up to 3 p.s.i. more . Plan to put them to 35 > 36 P.S.I.. These's a Sport mode for enhanced acceleration. The seats are comfortable , no worse than the Fits and Yarises we had . Have noticed drainage for the doors to be a bit slow . Plan to keep track of it and open doors soon as possible to release water after rain , melting snow or ice .

Another reason for purchase is crash test results from the I.I.H.S , https://www.iihs.org/iihs/ratings/ve...t-4-door-sedan . Here are a few other models for comparison . Toyota Yaris Ia : https://www.iihs.org/iihs/ratings/ve...oor-sedan/2018 , '17+'18 Corolla : https://www.iihs.org/iihs/ratings/ve...oor-sedan/2018 and Honda Fit : '16-'19 : https://www.iihs.org/iihs/ratings/ve...oor-wagon/2016 .

2nd fill : 294.7 (mis.) / 7.226 (gals.) = 40.78 M.P.G.. Had to do 2 fills due to 91 non E nozzle clicking off every few seconds . The second was 89 w/E5 @ 2 clicks ( normally 1 ) , thinking it was underfilled . Actually overfilled it . These are summer blend (?) Top Tier SUNOCO Ultratech . May take a few more tanks to get a better calculation and the display for overall M.P.G. to get closer . The 2 fill ups are averaging 42.165 M.P.G. calculated . Expect it to go down . Called local distributor and was told winter blend is arriving to gas stations . Set tires to 35 > 36 p.s.i..

I have to say that I do sort of like the new 2019 version KIA forte in the S or EX trim - especially in the Gravity Grey. So far I have only seen the sedan version, but it has promise. I haven't seen any mention of the hatchback version yet. Their new CVT design also uses a metal chain instead of a belt, for greater durability/lifespan & faster shifts. Still hate the regular KIA logo emblem though.
