My brand new 2015 Yaris 1.3 VVTi

Hi I am a newbie here, and I'd like to introduce you my new Yaris, bought just 2 days ago

Bought in Slovakia (Europe), it is a 5 door hatch, 1,3 VVTi, 6- speed manual transmission, 16" rims, STYLE grade with Senso smart style packet. (keyless entry, Auto-dimming rear-view mirror, Cruise control, automatic AC, light and rain sensors) , and a lot of other stuff, which I am not able to say in English at this point :)

New features of this model year 2016 vehicle are self tilting side rear-view mirrors, heated seats and some exterior parts, which are either in chrome or piano black.

After more than a month of waiting and riding a public transport I am enjoying this car sooo much!!!

Thanks for your comments! I'll take some more pictures later, it's been raining here since I bought this car

I do plan on doing some modifications, but nothing like getting lower, because I often have to park with the wheels on the curb and the roads are not perfect either, so I am going to leave it like it is.

The first thing I want to do is to have some dark window films mounted as I don't want others to see what's inside on the backseats. And it helps a bit in summer, when it's really hot outside. There were Suntek films on my previous car and I liked them, so I'll probably go for this brand again.

Then I am going to dismount and throw away this terrible armrest:

It is the worst armrest I've ever seen and it is too EVERYTHING. Too long, too narrow, placed too high. Totally useless. I want to replace it by some aftermarket piece, I found this "Armster S" product, which looks suitable.

The last thing (for now) which I want to change somehow is the position of the seat heating buttons. I would like to place them instead the upper-right blind button, because they are not visible from the driver's position at the current place.

From the top view it looks OK

but when sitting on my seat, I can see nothing because of the handbrake.

That's my plan for now, for the future I'm considering mounting a rear window spoiler, but I am not sure what it would look like in combination with not getting lower :)

You keep your Yaris very clean, that interior is beautiful. Curious to see which center armrest you will be buying, when you get your modifications going, share!

I wish that Toyota has put those particular 16" alloys on the USA SE instead of the black version alloys, along with the side-mirror turn-signals, and the upgraded climate control knobs/panel. The USA market always gets the short-end of the stick, compared to Europe/Japan and most other markets.

You can add these yourself, but it is somewhat involved:

But I agree it would have been preferable if this was standard from Toyota.

Sure, but window tints are first in a row :) Anyway, I'm still trying to find someone who managed to fit some aftermarket armrest into 2015 Yaris here, just to see what it looks like.

Seems like buying a small car in the US is as difficult as buying a really big one here

Well, I don't know what kind of climate control panel is in your car, but if there is not an automatic air conditioning, it is probably the same as in other European Yarises

Did you find a clean way to remove that ugly armrest? I've got the same on mine, I removed it but it left that ugly hole in the seat side . How can I cover it?

Not yet. But my TOYOTA dealer said that they'd already done that before. They put some plastic blinder over the hole.

You really don't have to be upset about it, it is really useless. I tried to get used to it a few times, but I gave up.

Absolutely amazing!

How superior the non USA version of the car is.

So many cool options/ capabilities we don't get here
