Online vehicle registration renewal (for CA DMV)
hi peeps,
I just paid my vehicle registration renewal online through CA DMV's website. The due date was today (7-8-09) and I completed the transaction around 9:30pm PST tonight (yes, I'm a procrastinator. hehe)... good think I remembered. My question is- Does anyone know if there is a specific time deadline, like 12 midnight or something to make payments online? Has anyone made a payment to DMV online on the actual day it was due? I'm worried that the payment won't actually be processed until tomorrow and then I would have to pay the late charge. Thanx in advance for your feedback : ) |

I wouldn't worry about it. You probably made it on time. Make sure you print out the acknowledgment and keep it in your car. It's not worth it for them to hold up the registration.

Not that our DMV is really that organized, but, if you had a late fee they probably would have charged you online or rejected the transaction. You should be ok.
