car stuck in acc mode?
got an interesting issue, when I turned the car off last night and pulled the key out, the radio stayed on.
the problem appears to be something with the key cylinder. I did verify the key was turned all the way back. I proceeded to turn the key on and off about a 10 times and everytime the radio stayed on but the radio would flicker off then back on. I ended up getting it off by jiggling the key as I turned it in the off position. the proper fix is mostlikly to get a new cylinder which I don't overly want to do, has anyone else ever had this issue? 2010 yaris w/ immobilizer

Not sure if cleaning the cylinder will help.
I've definitely seen this happen with my Echo. It was a year old with less than 30k km back then. Although z I've never seen it happen with my Yaris. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk |

i debated cleaning the cylinder, but what would be safe to put in there? a little wd40? white lithium grease? dielectric grease?

Is it just the radio? Did you check if your 12v power outlet shuts off? There could be a short in the power circuit of the radio keeping it on.

In not sure ACC is powered through a relay.
Do you have any accessories you've added to the car that you've tapped into the ACC circuit. |

not that would cause the problem, a second 12v power outlet was added but was tapped off the first one and mounted right beside it.....
That being said, the car has been driven a few times and it did not get stuck in the ACC mode at all......might just peg this one as aliens till it does it again lol
