TRD Springs & rattling

I installed TRD springs with the Tokiko (sp?) Blue shocks. Also Scion rims with 195/55/15 tires.

On a road with an uneven slightly bumpy surface sometimes I hear a rattle at the top of the front shock towers.

I didn't cut my bump stops, could that be the issue? This seems different as it is occuring when the springs aren't highly compressed (like from a large bump in the road.)

Should I tighten the nut at the top of the shock?

this issue has plagued me at the track. it has happened twice now near the end of the day. sounds like the same thing, a loud clunk develops. i have yet to figure out what causes it. what we have done is pull the entire strut and spring off, re-torque everything, and put it back together (in 40 mins to get the car back on track lol). so far, it has worked 2 out of 4 times. nothing seems loose when we do it, but it goes away, and stays away.

i still have no idea what causes it, but to fix it, we just retorqued every bolt on the front suspension.

Over 30,000 kilometers on my TRD suspension and not a noise to be heard.
