This is very true. I've tried several times to get my boyfriend to make a lunch/dinner/anything for me. I'm not sure if it's that he doesn't know how to cook, or just doesn't want to/won't do it. I think he made me grilled cheese the one time after I had surgery and couldn't cook for myself... But he managed to make mine all nice and black (first one), while his (second to be made) turned out perfectly fine...

All this is based off of what I know my girl would like... And everyonea different...

This is also extremely true. Some of the better times we've spent together were taking a hike through a local park, just chillin on the couch watchin a movie or a Tivo'd show, or playin video games (gotta love the Wii!!)

yeah, see, that's why I'm staying out of that one.

Staying 2 weeks isn't a "date" it's a relationship!

sounds really complicated, too many variables in the equation to be able to come up with good advice IMO.

People can give you ideas about what to do, but even that is no guarantee that what you really want is gonna happen in the future no matter how romantic your dates are...

I'm getting the feeling that there is something else going on besides just a date, and if that girl broke your once already, I DNK

This thread amuses me, but I'd like to hear the outcome from the suggestions you took and tried out.

And I have to agree on that w/ you tomato...."no guarantee that what you really want is gonna happen in the future"....

Of course! there's always a missing piece to the whole story/situation. Even w/ my scenario in the past, of course nothing on my behalf, mostly the ex's... ;)

Best of luck

i dont like it when my husband spends a lot of money on me. for an anniversary or w/e i would rather he just get me flowers, card w a lil love letter, and maybe take me out on like a lil picnic than to buy me expensive jewelry or to some overpriced restaurant. but then again im sure some girls would rather have the jewelry, lol. i think the picnic thing is a great idea...just be sure to pick a nice park w maybe a pond or something...and have the picnic in a spot where you can be alone. Also if you cannot cook...i suggest picking up some favorite foods at a deli or something like that instead.dont forget dessert! maybe bring her flowers(her favorite?) when you go to pick her up too. i wouldnt be overbearring tho...you dont want her to feel smothered. be sure that when it is time for her to leave that you give her something to remember you and your visit together by... maybe a framed photograph of something you did together while she was visiting.i think that would be sweet.

Damn your good. I love that suggestion!
I'll remember to give something similar to "her" for her to remember when I go and come back to the states.
