DIY - Wheels Detailing

A few pictures of the last DIY (Last Sunday).

Took some time to cover the rest of the Wheels, but i loved the results.

Enjoy the Pictures.

Materials Required:

1/4 " Gallon Candy Red Paint (ICI)
Half Pint of Clear (ICI)
Air Compressor
High Pressure AirGun
Thinner
Paper
Masking Tape
#400 Sand Paper
Water

With the #400 Sand Paper and water, work on the Wheel border to clarfy and remove the original paint. After that, use thinner to clean up the surface, using a soft cloth. Next step is to cover the wheel, using the paper and masking tape, making sure there´s no other part of the wheel that could be painted accidentally. I mixed the Red paint with thinner in proportion 4:1 to dilute the paint. After that, i put the paint in the Airgun and carefully sprayed all the wheel area we want to paint. After paint the 4 wheels, next step is to add the clear, in proportion of 4:1:1 with thinner and clear hardener. before you use the clear in the same airgun, with thinner, clean the gun, making sure theres no residuals of red paint, then add the clear, paint the 4 wheels, and put it in the Sun, about 30 minutes to get the paint to dry. After that 30 minutes, remove the paper and Masking Tape, carefully and clean any mistake in the borders, with a little cloth and thinner. Then you are ready to go and install the Wheels back on the car.
