Brake pads length for Yaris 1.5 TS

Hello,

I have recently bought a used Yaris 1.5 VVTi- 1.5 TS (78 KW) 2001 , and until now I have down 2000 km without problem, except for the fact that the brakes are screeching a bit sometimes.
Before buying it, the previous owner had changed the front brake pads.
He has installed the Ferodo FDB1368, which have a length of 112mm. He also had those installed for as long as he was using it (I know because he also gave me the olds one to show me that he had changed them).

Now, when I got to a garage to check a few things today, I also mentioned that my brakes where kind of screeching, so they said they would only service them a bit, since I had changed the pads recently. However, they afterwards called me, told me that my installed brake pads are not fit for my car, that they are shorter and don't fit perfectly (its true, they showed this to me) and that it is extremely dangerous to use my car like this and that it should be towed.

When I checked online, I saw that:

1) If I search on Ferodo.com with my car, I get to this page, where the following are listed:

From those, if I go in details, my car is only listed under vehicles in the FDB1513 , which are 131mm.
However, if I search for example in www.oscaro.com , I get results with length 116,4mm , and from Ferodo it lists the FDB1392. However, on Ferodo's site, FDB1392 only lists the 1.8 yaris.


Now, if I search for the part number, this page:

tells me that my part number is 0446517100. Ferodo's site says that FDB1392 covers the 0446517100 part number. If I search other sites, I get multiple results as oem parts, with some of them being 116mm and some 131mm.

So, my question is:
Is it ok to use the slightly shorter break pads (112 or 116mm instead of 130mm, if this is their real size)? I am eventually going to change them to ones that fit perfectly, but I have a roadtrip planned starting on Saturday morning, and no time to change them before the trip. Is this safe, or the mechanic saying that they could cause wheel lockup is right?
And how do I figure out which break pads are the correct for my car?
