New Yaris = Major Upgrade

My friends think I'm crazy for loving the fact that I got a Yaris, but compared to my last car its like a Mercedes.

My last car was a 1998 Corolla LE. It was in my family for 16 years and had roughly 250,000 miles on it. It was a tank that averaged around 35mpg. Lets just say that the car had battle scars (Chipping paint, stained seats, ripped headliner, scratches). Tragically someone hit me and destroyed the car.

Now I have a 2013 Yaris L 3dr.

I am in love with this car. The lack of power windows and mirrors didn't bother me because of all the benefits of this car.

1) Great gas mileage
2) Small size, I can park ANYWHERE!!! (This will come in handy during college)
3) Built in iPod, Bluetooth: It's really awesome that this comes standard considering the price of the car
4) It's a hatchback, nuff said
5) I don't see many Yaris' : Civic's, corolla's, and versa's are the norm for a compact car where I live so my car is unique

While it won't compare to the Benz I was driving after my accident performance wise, in practicality the Yaris blows the Benz out of the water.

I REALLY FRIGGIN LOVE THIS CAR !!!!!!!

Congratulations! You'll love it, I don't mind not having power windows or mirror either, I see it as possible cost savings in the future. Our cars are so dang small rolling the windows down is easy, and once I set my mirrors, I never touch them.

Ride it hard around those twisties! You'll be surprised.

Me too, 7 year birthday soon. Nothing wrong with it so far. Just do you regular maintenance (properly) and you should be ok..

My Yaris has done 12 hour trip and back, a 5 hour trip and back and regular drives in the burbs, city, car parks, in bumper to bumber

traffic. Sure she's older but is still reliable.Never lets you down!!

I totally went for the power windows though here. LOL
I don't see too many Yaris here either.
I get a lot of looks sometimes in my beautiful black sand pearl 3-door LE.
Love how this car drives on premium gas... It's fun!

Congrats!

Exactly...!

You can roll the window on the passenger side down no problem, it's just a little lean for me while watching the road.
Congrats on the new Yaris, you sound like I do (even after 3 months this July 11 & about 1,755 miles!) I so love this car! It is a blast to drive and the fuel economy is so awesome! I'm going on 2 weeks since my last fill-up, and it is still between 1/2 & 3/4 of a tank! The single wiper is GREAT, it even matches our 2000 C230 Kompressor Sedan

Sure, it's nice to cruise in the Benz, especially on the Highway & longer trips, but the Yaris is just so much fun to drive. I like the seats a lot better in the Yaris, they hug you so well.
I know I will have this car a long, long time. It is perfect for the 5-15 mile country trips I make daily. It's AWESOME

After my first tank of regular, I filled up with premium and I must agree. I got on the freeway and next thing you know I'm doing 110mph. I was like
