I was really impressed seeing that grounding wire DIY thread in
the Performance Mod area. For just $25 you can add up to 5 hp.
That has to be the biggest bang for your buck in performance.

That got me wondering about the Wheels, Tire and Suspension area…
what do you think the biggest bang for you buck would be here?

I'd be lucky to get five hp from just that ground wire kit. However I will say that during the install I did not notice any ground wires from the factory. It looks like they did not make to much of an effort to ground the motor. Who knows maybe I did gain a couple hp here and there. Maybe I should do a dyno? lol
Most older model cars show good gains through groundwire kits becuse stock are do not have good grounding. Then again from what I saw the aris doesn't seem to be well grounded in stock form either.

For the Yaris considering any bolt-on you get is only going to give you a couple hp increase.....I'd say the biggest bang for the buck would be a good be some good light weight rims. You can get rims that weigh around 10lbs for around 350 bucks, and it's probably going to give you the best overall performence gains compared to anything else.

I remember I asked this question and someone told me the 15" steelies I had weighed 15lbs. This is supper light for 15 steelies, but then again another person said their 14" steelies weighed in at 15lbs, so i'm not to sure. I'd say, on average, the 15 weigh around 18lbs.(without tire ofcourse)

Nitrous is the universal big bang for the least amount of buck. Always has been, and probably always will be.

Would I put nitrous in a Yaris? A small, small, SMALL (did I say small?) amount would be fine, but I wouldn't go trying a 75 shot on a 1.5L without some beefed up internals. Of course no matter what nitrous will wear on your engine. These blocks can handle a tad, though. They're aluminum w/ cast-in iron liners. (the 1NZ-FE, that is)

actually your right that probably is the best bang for the buck. Then again it may not be once the motor blows and ou have to caugh up thousands to fix it.

Hey, you asked. Haha.

Nitrous Express has really come out of nowhere in the last few years and established themselves as... well... worth a damn? They used to suck, but somewhere along the way they started making some sweet SUPER easy-to-install systems that gained their acceptance in the tuner crowd, and they even started including quality parts! (novel concept)

And for the numbers... (drumroll)

$300 for a universal wet kit on ebay shipped, able to be dialed up to 75hp for a grand total of...

About $4/hp
Also has a 30 hp and 50 hp option

well said indeed. A while back I helped a friend of mine install a 75 dry shot system in his 98 GS-R Integra. Install was very easy, and the gains were very nice. Nitrous is much like a forced induction system. Tunnin is the key ingredient in getting the true potential out of it, and also making it reliable. With proper tunning it will not blow your motor, considering you do not missuse the system.

Bingo, thank you ItsMyDaily. General rule of thumb...

1) forced induction
2) nitrous
3) accumulation of any other engine "accessories" that add up to big gains (for instance if you have an intake, headers, exhaust, pulleys, cams, etc etc all working together to make, lets say, 38 hp)

If any of these apply to your car anywhere down the line, your next stop should be your local dyno tuner for a custom flashing of your ECU. If not, you're honestly just asking for your shit to blow up.
