looks good to me.. im a fan of the more simpler cleaner looks.. so i would paint them to match the color of the car instead of a lip.

I like those white Mini Cooper wheels (I actually like almost all of the wheels that I see on Coopers).

I run a set of the 5 spoke Mini rims as my Winter rims. Their lug bolts are larger diameter than our studs and the hub is 2mm wider. If you aren't running hubcentric rings (I couldn't find ones to fit), you should use lug nuts that make the wheels lugcentric. I am using lugcentric bulge conical lug nuts that I found at Jegs that have the correct taper and have a part below the taper that fills the space between our studs and the wheel:

I was gonna post mine, since I'm on a silver version of the S Lites in the OP.

Then I realized that "G" just bumped three Mini Cooper threads that were over a year old each. All over some lugnuts. Wat.

Oh well. Shameless whoring:

Thanks.

Is there a way of idenifying these Chinese nuts you speak of? (And don't say to pull down their pants. ) I used the OEM ones briefly before getting some JEG lugcentrics like Scott had pointed out previously with his Mini wheels. I haven't bought any other lugs aside from those and the OEMs.

oh no, someone wanted to spend less money. How horrible a human being they must be, let's kill them all....

please get over yourself. If the chinese didn't operate the way they did the entire world's standard of living would be much lower. 99% of the products in a normal household come from china and are extremely reliable.

You won't have to kill them all, when your wheels fly off the lug nuts will kill you. Or when they start to rust after getting wet. Or when the hex part strips because of the cheap metals used.

Hm. I didn't realize that JEGs were Chinese. They seem well enough made to me. It rains more than plenty here in the southeast, and they haven't gotten rusty.

I just find it highly doubtful that all four on a wheel would fail at the same time, resulting in one of my wheels flying off and having a massive accident. All told, 106 hp doesn't seem like a whole lot, enough to worry about torquing the lug nuts loose. I'd feel a loose wheel before imminent failure.

Basically, the OEM ones were too short to use with these wheels. So it's either use lug nuts that fit, or use 'higher quality' OEM nuts that don't fit as well. Kinda this or that I guess. I just refuse to drop $120 on lugnuts. That's more than I spent for the rear spoiler or some suspension components.
