2008 5 door Yaris 1.3 TR rear hub replacement.

Hi,
I have a 2008 5 door Yaris 1.3 TR hatchback with 42, 000 miles on the clock.
I have recently noticed a droning noise which seems to be coming from the o/s/r of the car, I jacked up the car and spun the wheels and the offside rear feels rough compared to the others so I suspect it is this wheel bearing that is on the way out.
There is a wire attached to the hub which I guess is the ABS connection.
From what I can gather you replace the hub assembly rather than just the bearing, is this correct ?.
Has anyone done one these ? It looks like it's held to the rear suspension with 4 bolts so wonder if it is a straight forward job ?.
I have seen a few of these hub assemblies on E bay at various prices.
Thank you in advance for any help.
All the best
John

The rear hub is relatively easy to change. You just need to located one that is ABS equipped as well:

Hi,
Many thanks for your reply and for the diagram.
Yes it doesn't' look too difficult, I will locate a hub with ABS and have a go.
Thanks again
John

I could not help but notice that the ABS sensor is listed as a non reuseable part. Surely one is not expected to buy an ABS sensor due to a failed wheel bearing! Or have I missed something? Could you please explain?

That is interesting that such a crazy expensive part is considered non-reusable. I have no idea as to why Toyota did that, unless the part gets damaged in the process of removing it from the hub.
