Yaris 2007 sedan camper conversion?

Hi people, first time posting here but I've used this site multiple time to help me with my Yaris 2007. Thanks for all the wonderful information you guys post on here!

I have searched the forum and I haven't found any information about the back seat removal on a Yaris Sedan 2007. I ask because I'm planning a big road trip around Canada next summer and looking at a camper conversion for my sedan.

I'm know that the Sedan might not be the best for type of conversion; a hatchback makes more sense. I've seen pictures of people doing the conversion to a Honda Fit for example. I've also found this: http://tinyhousetalk.com/toyota-echo...v-car-camping/

I'm wondering what it would be like for the Yaris. In the pictures from the article, I notice the limited space in-between the trunk area and the back seat space (where the bench are held). Any information on this matter would be appreciated. Thank you!

Curious about it. Did you ever made the conversion?
Yaris sedan seem to me like a bad option but if it's all you got...
I've done it on Hiunday H1 (panel van), Fiat Dóbló and Citroen Picasso. All worked really well. But the size is not exactly the same. ;-)

well that vould be a "practical" rear bench delete for my 08 Hatch.. and where the water gallon is, I can recycle the idea and put the car battery there..

Down for micro campers, that said...

I have an 2005 97x with awd, v8 and the rear seats already fold down flat for this sort of stuff.. OR.. you know a rooftop tent. XD

Id start by removing the rear seat, then building a false floor and using that space underneath for cargo.

Also adding a secondary battery to charge the phone or listen to music or whatnot is a good idea

bigger trailrigs/overlanders will have two batteries, one for the engine and the other for personal stuff with a mechanical breaker. shut the breaker when the engine is running to charge both batteries, open the breaker at night to use just the one.

Install a roof rack to carry more stuff that would be weather proof, and if you are going off the main path, an extra 2 or 5 gallons can always mean you get home if the engine still works..

He mounted an A/C invertor onto the back of the normal cigar lighter in the back to run a small fridge, same could apply for your yaris only smaller.

dead links for photos but heres another yaris' family thread http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/sho...t=55061&page=2

and some more ideas
