Looking to lower it.
I have a 2007 LB. I am looking to lower it. It has 74 thousand KM on the clock.Stock suspension seems ok, however it's high up the ground. Time to drop it low. It's daily driver.I have on 15 x 6.5 rims.
Any suggestions? |

With that size wheel, you can do almost anything to it to drop it. Cheapest option would probably be Tanabe NF210s. However, Tanabe springs do not last very long - they rust easily.
Or you can get some springs from Garm at Micro Image. He has some decently aggresive ones for under 200 I believe. HE has them made to order. |

springs or coilovers depending how low you want. If you want springs, once my megan coilovers are on I will be selling my ksport springs.

Only Happy When it Rains

shocks and springs are cheaper, but non adjustable. Coil overs are adjustable, all for height, and some for damper as well.
I have Megan Racing coilovers I bought from Micro Image, and I love them. It rides so much better than stock, and the only time you really know it is stiffer is larger bumps on the highway. Some coilovers are less stiff, other are more so. Same for shocks. It really depends on what type of ride you are looking for.

coilovers = adjustable, a lot lower, expensive
springs = not adjustable, around 1"-2" of drop, relatively cheap. springs...($150-$225) http://shop.microimageonline.com/Springs_c19.htm coilovers...($860-$1900) http://shop.microimageonline.com/Coilovers_c20.htm most guys around here go with micro image. I have had good luck with them. I have bought quite a few items from them and have always been happy. I actually run the H+R springs with a mild drop of about an inch. I was going for handling. |

Here's my experience:
I had Megan Racing coilovers and found them way too stiff for daily driving, even when adjusted to full soft. Plus, the paint on my springs peeled off after 13 months and the springs started to rust. I currently have Tokico HP shocks/struts and Tein S-tech springs. It's a much more comfortable street setup, but the handling is still very good. In fact, I'd argue it's a better setup for those who primarily drive their Yaris on the street. It feels more connected to the road and isn't as easily upset by imperfections in the pavement. I like it very much. If I were to do coilovers again, I'd go with the Tein setup. Although it does not have adjustable damping, I rarely used it on the Megan Racing units.

I got Eibach Lowering springs, specially for the XP9. 2,5cm drop all around... It's not ''that'' noticable from the outside, but if you put some wheelspacers on ur rims you'll definatly see it has been lowered. Also the ride is amazing! Cornering is doable even with over 100km/h.

I put in a set of Tokico Blues and Tien s-techs about 2 weeks ago and I'm pretty satisfied with them. It's a 2" drop, but I'm also running small on my tires (205/50R15) so things like a trip through a carwash is right out. Combined with a TRD rear sway bar, it now corners almost dead flat, and even stresses the sidewalls of the tires.
