Great deal. It's too bad my fiancee doesn't need a car until next year. Good luck with the lease transfer.

Would you mind if I stole your steering wheel?
I could leave my plastic one in it's place.

I have no clue why nobody is interested on this deal. If I hadn't purchased my 2010 last month I probably would've grabbed this one.

Is there anything hidden or any strings attached? I just don't seee it...

That's an awesome deal..I was at the dealer the other day wanting to trade up for a 2010 hatchback RS. The only downfall is that I'd have to somehow get out of my current lease :(

Nothing hidden here. What you see is what you get. Noone has even come out to see it. I have a feeling the controversy over the Toyota recalls is having more of an impact with alot of people.

So to clarify, you made a $3661.86 down payment when you agreed to lease the car for 36 months back in Sept 2009. The monthly lease arrangement worked out to $281.71 for 36 months (with only 29 months remaining now).

You want someone to take over this lease i.e. continue the monthly payments for the remaining 29 months, and you are willling to pay the transfer fee ($400) and giving away another $500 cash incentive.

There is a buy back option of $9876.00 after Sept 2012..... have I missed anything else?

I'm just shocked that no one is interested on this deal. I just picked up my 2010 hatchback for 18,200 + freight/taxes LE model with "convenience" package (air, abs, pwr locks, doors, etc) plus a rally spoiler, and mine is not even even the RS model.

If only I could fit 2 hockey bags + 3 kids in the back of the Yaris I would trade our other vehicle ('06 Honda Odyssey) in a heartbeat

Initially we wanted to have the buyer pay the Transfer Fee and didn't offer a cash incentive because we thought it would be scooped up immediately because of the big down payment. We only started sweetening the offer once we found we were getting no queries from our posting. We've even got it listed on Craigslist and Kijiji and the only queries we get is how much money we will offer as an incentive to unload the car.

On top of all that, the car is fully rustproofed and has the Ventureshield clear film on the front hood/fenders and that is all additional cost that's not part of the $3661.86 we put down on the car.

I think alot of people are leery of the whole lease take-over thing and that might be why there is so little interest.

Well joeyg, it's a very sweet deal if you ask me. Good luck finding that lucky buyer for your RS.

Honestly if I didn't have mine already, I would've seriously considered taking on yours. cheers.

I think that getting out of a lease that doesn't have as much time left is probably alot easier than when the full lease is still almost intact.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I only have 13 months left in my 60 month lease. Unfortunately, surprise surprise, Toyota appraised the car for around $7000 when I still owe around $9500 (between the remaining months + buyout). That's where the problem lies...for the new RS, they wanted a $1000 down payment, which is something I can't afford. They said they can only the hide the loss "so much" within the lease.

It'd be great if somebody was able to take over my lease. I'd take over your lease for sure!

I too agree with the others. If I hadn't purchased mine already I'd be all over this. I bough the exact same colour (which I absolutely love) but only got the LE model. This is an amazing deal. If only I could but your skirt package, spoiler, rims and a few other goodies that mine is missing! LOL

My 2009 RS was $22157.00 I traded my Colorolla 99 appraised value $1540.85 for a 4year lease and $300 cash down with some int/ext goodies comes to $302 month. But my buy back is $8000. Compared to joeyg's should I sell or keep it?
