Hydra Blade - car washing
Was speaking with a friend in UK last night - and mentioned I gave my new Yaris a car wash and she asked did I use a Hydra Blade to get the water off (instead of a shammy) - I had not heard of them, but had a look on You Tube - they look awesome - has anyone used one or know if you can buy them in Australia?
I did call into Repco but could not find one in my local store. |

I bought on about a year ago and find it to be a million times less labor than using a shammy. If you can't find it locally in AUS, it would not be very expensive to ship one over.

I have read mixed reviews. I did find one in Australia - imported from UK by Autoglym - but that is $62.50 plus shipping. Saw some on Ebay cheaper though - but you wonder if they are the real thing or knock-offs. |

Scratching would only be an issue if you don't remove all of the dirt from the car when washing it. That would be an issue as well with a shammy.

They work really well for getting the bulk of the water off and finish up with a shammy.

Dont dry the the car and you cant scratch it.
Soap probably has things in it to make the water run off faster.

I have one of these blades, but I find The Absorber to be better and more useful.
