all of the 100% city bars was me delivering pizzas. Hard to maintain great mileage.
Just filled up 9.087 gallons, with 412.2 miles on the tank.
That calculates to 45.36mpg with 50% city and 50% highway, thats pretty damn good. If thats mixed, imagine what im actually getting on the highway... Almost as good as an freaking prius!

the 2010 automatic 3 door is averaging 36.7 m.p.g. since beginning of JANUARY . The 2008 automatic sedan is hovering around 38 .

3 and D are in the same transverse slot. When you pull the shifter back from P through R and N, it drops right into D. If you bump it to the left, you're in 3.

That is amazing. I honestly don't know if I can get another 10+mpg by just slowing down to 55-60mph, I usually only go about 70mph on the freeway. I noticed you have the sedan too, it seems like it is a bit more slick through the air than the HB, so that might help too. I am not complaining about my mileage at all, the best of any car ever owned, just that it seems that many people are able to get SIGNIFICANTLY more than I have ever seen. More power to y'all, whatever it is that you are doing!!

Wink

My only complaint about the Yaris' gas mileage is purely user-based...

It's just too tempting to not toss it about on the commute to and from work...

You'll get a LOT better mileage at 55 MPH than 70.

When i just want to get somewhere, going a constant 70-75 down the highway, it seems that i get around 40mpg probably closer to what you get right? It might be true that a sedan slides through the air better, but that cant quite be proven.

Yes, they share the same slot with D on the right and 3 on the left.
I don't get how some people don't feel the difference in driving though since it feels like the car is stronger in 3

You can attach the file that you wanna post.

When you're replying in the thread, there's an option below the text box that says "manage attachment"

This is today, i forgot to take a picture of the gauge setup i had going, ill do that next time. I know it woulda been more convincing to see the mpg, next to the miles driven and average speed.

The only time I have even hit 40mpg was on a long trip, cruise set at about 60mph, and only one stop for gas in a stretch 550 miles long. My average for normal freeway driving is about 37mpg. As was said in another post, it is just too hard to drive really easy to get the uber-mileage, the car is a lot of fun. When I want to go fast AND get good mpg's, I jump over to the motorcycle (50+mpg and crazy acceleration).

I haven't hit 40 MPG yet. Is this all flat roads? I have a lot of hills on my highway commute.
