How do I turn this off after an oil change?

Don't mean to bring up an old thread but at what mileage intervals does the check engine light come on?

The check engine light only comes on when there's a problem. In the U.S. the Service Needed light blinks briefly after startup at 4500 miles and stays on at 5000 miles.

Aah. Yeah, I got them confused.
I just got a check engine light (CEL) and I have no idea why. My car is completely stock except for suspension and I know
suspension will not trigger any CELs. The owner's manual doesn't say how to diagnose it either.

You need an OBD II code reader. It'll tell you what the code is, then let you clear it. Look for the code online, or in the documentation that comes with your code reader.

Yes, it'll read error codes and let you clear them, along with displaying a lot of other information from the OBD port.
