Toyo Tire R888 deals with ubcscc.com BC only
Just wanted to post this for anybody in the BC/Vancouver area.
UBCSCC is working with Toyo Tire on some deals with the R888 GG compound racing tire as well as a special soft compound GGG which is more for autocrossing, solo sprint, hillclimbs etc. Would there be anyone interested in this for competition? Tires will have to be specially made from Japan and there are some special sizes available that you won't find on the toyotire.ca site. Check out our forum at http://www.ubcscc.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=3246 There is one thing, it is only offered to club members, but I'm sure that there are some of you who may want to get into the sport of solo 1 or 2? I'm looking at getting a set of 235/45/13's R888 softcomps and a set of 225/45/15's regular comps for my car. Even with the drop in the Canadian dollar these should be available at competitive pricing. The soft comp is not going to be available to very many people outside of this offering.
