Check the search for cabin air filter. It's a thread that has been beaten on. Name: 1beb8b2ae6d61633f35d740313c6c610.gif

Go with a Bosch Air Filter. Pretty easy and self explanitory to install. $14.99 at AutoZone. # P3750. Other numbers on the bar code are F00E160344. It took 2 days to come in. There is another number to cross it to a Purolater #. That's in the other thread.

Pull the lower glove box door down, squeeze the sides inward to lower it even more. There will be a white plastic rectangular box. Squeeze those two tabs together and that door swings out and to the left. You'll see the blower motor "squirrel cage". The filter contorts like an accordian. Twist, bend, jam or what ever your means are to fit it in there. No filter case needed. It just lays on the housing above the fan motor. Tada....that's it.

If you need a DYI, I suggest pulling over and walking. The Yaris maybe to complicated for you. Ok, relax....J/K....We need to have a DYI meet in areas where we can get together and have booths where the less complicated DYIs can be done by the highly educated folks here at YW. Air Filters here....Cruise Controls there, I wonder who we can get to install chrome?

Following on from this, I think that our Aussie spec cars get an A/c Filter as standard... pitty I don't have the car yet to check...

I only know that the left-hand drive models don't have A/C cabin filters because there is no room to squeeze in the filter frame because of the placement of the blower. For that simple reason, Toyota decided that if the frame wouldn't fit, then the filter wouldn't either. But actually, with a little massaging, the filter can sit flat over the blower without the frame and function very well.

So, I'm curious if the right-hand drive models have the same problem, or if they are fitted with the filter. Let us know.

Yarii come with a place for the filter, but no filter. That is why I am buying one and installing it.

Will Do... but I hope you don't mind waiting until October when I take delivery.
Actually, better yet, I'll give the dealer a call tomorrow and ask him.

Also, just a word of caution, when lowering the glove box door, ensure that the tiny shock absorber doesn't get broken, like I did to mine . The LB may not have it: anyway, just pop it iff to the side until finished. Good luck!

Ummmm..Yeah... That garage is a work in progress...

BrisVegas is actually Brisbane in Queensland. Nothing really ever happens up hear and its got the tag of an old sleepy town, not like Sydney or Melbourne. Hence we try and Bling-it-up a bit...

Well I rang the dealer and am actually more confused. Sales guy said yes. Rang the spare parts guy and he said no. Got him to check for a part number and he couldn't find one....So, odds on that no part number means no filter.
