Be honest, if you could go back in time and do it again.....

Greetings Yaris Worlders.....

Be honest, if you could go back in time and do it again, would you buy the Yaris again or would you opt to buy another car, say the Honda Fit? When I drove the Fit (after I bought the Yaris), I have to admit I had buyer's remorse. If I could do it again, I'd probably go with the Fit.....

Had a Versa as a rental when I test-drove both the Yaris and Fit. Out of the three, the Yaris was a clear win.

No. Never was a fan of the Fit's appearance and would still be spending countless dollars trying to keep up with everybody.

This.

Had one in PR as rental and sucked in many ways from overdrive to handling

I'd go buy another 2001 Echo. Overall, I liked it better than my Yaris.

Nope. I don't have a problem with the Fit. When it comes to subcompacts, the majority I see on the road are Fits anyway (though this is because I live in Central Ohio, which leans heavily towards Honda in general. This is due to the influence of the Honda plants in this general area of the state). Anyway, I didn't go with the Fit because it wasn't available without power windows and power locks. I don't care about power windows or power locks, and I don't want to pay for it. Luckily, the Yaris is available with the fancy electronics. And another thing, changing the oil in the Yaris is a piece of cake. The Fit, not so much.

Maybe.

In hindsight I think the Yaris is just a little too small for my needs, and my significant other has never felt comfortable in it. Maybe a sedan would have worked better.

As much as I like my Yaris, I'm already looking to replace it next year. Right now the 2012 Accent is a top contender, but we'll see what else is available by then.

My sentiments also.

But the Yaris is the best out there today.

You know...at first I didn't like the Yaris, I wished that we had got a Fit instead. To me, the Fit was a better car all around and it probably still is.

But once I started to drive the Yaris I got attached to it, it's like the Yaris has personality to it, it has character. The Fit is probably the better car, but I don't see myself becoming as attached to it as my Yaris. The Yaris makes me feel happy whenever I drive it, that's a quality not many cars have...but to me it's what makes the Yaris special.

Plus, the Yaris is more rare in my area, so it's like i'm driving a unique car.

The Fit at my local dealership cost the same as the mid level Civic and got worse highway mileage according to the gov. rating. My Yaris sedan was thousands less even with all the options and aero package.

Yes, I would still get the Yaris hatch. Never liked anything about the Fit then and still don't. It continues to look like a shrunken minivan... and an ugly one at that!

I never got around to testing the limits on my rental, but I can tell you the Yaris is just more tall-friendly. As for the other two cars, ..well:
