SoCal "Spirited Driver" Roads

Name some roads you have driven on that you enjoyed. Try to name longer ones if you can. Hopefully we can make this a Guide of some sort. The smoother the road, the better.

Otay Lakes Road
Campo Road
County Hwy S6/Del Dios Hwy

Try taking the 67 past Julian to the 8. I think its 67 to the 79 to the 8. Almost no straights for 15 or 20 miles.

Drove up Mulholland. Met a guy up there who directed me to Decker and then to Petrero. VERY twisty and scenic route. Had a Blast. My fenderwell inner plastic is nearly gone.

Gmr is fun cause there's 3 different roads to the top, each very unique. Angeles crest is super long and boring imo. Last new run I went on was at little tujunga, between the 210 and 14. I liked it a lot, the hairpins were beautiful!

I usally run malibu PCH for an easy cruise then up latigo canyon road towards the 101fwy. Pretty scary your first time due to no galleries. Daytime runs are very spirited.

Banning-Idyllwild Panoramic Hwy (hwy 243) To Idyllwild National Forest Hwy (Hwy 74)

really long highway that passes through the desert through Mt San Jacinto state park and back to Hemet

Basically it starts off in Banning then take the 74 back to hemet :)

Really gorgeous and fun road to drive on

and yess GMR is a good road to go through but not at night. Night time is when the serious drivers go out and sometimes law enforcement cracks down on them. would not recommend going at night. plus there are many blind corners. Its a hard road to go through but fun :)

I was a fan of Soledad Canyon Road in Santa Clarita, especially the tunnel. http://goo.gl/maps/5x4X

I also like Placerita Canyon road too, but I was mainly in awe of the scenery so don't take my word for any of this!

+1. Also GRR (fork off of GMR). Very narrow and treacherous. Keep your eyes peeled and be ready for anything.

Stunt Rd. at 1am is also awesome.
