NCR-SCCA Auto-X CFCC

I'm registered to run in STF with NCR-SCCA at Cape Fear Community College this Sunday. If anyone is in the area I'm including the FB event link below to give y'all more info. Hoping all my suspension pieces come in on time and I'm getting my tires mounted up tomorrow......

Well I do have some competition this weekend, so far there's 4 of us in STF, with on-line registration closing at noon today. Here is the entry list for the weekend, so I get to try out my new tires for sure.......

Just returned home from the NCR SCCA Auto-X at CFCC where I actually surprised myself. Even though I finished third out of four cars in class, for the first time I can ever remember, I actually improved on every run. I set out to brake the 32 second barrier and actually did so on my last run of the day, which was seven runs each, the most I've gotten in years!!

As for the new tires (Kumho XS), well once I scrubbed some of that new tire smell off of them, they also seemed to get better and better. Can't wait to get my suspension work done and dial in a little more negative camber, I think these things will serve me well. I'll post Results and Event Photos as soon as the region posts them, I didn't even take my camera with me, didn't want the distraction.

As promised here are the Results from yesterdays Event.....

http://www.ncrscca.com/sites/default...kwater_fin.htm

Interesting thing here and what is rare, we all turned our fastest time on our last run! Also the winning Mazda2 is a very well prepared, probably Solo Tour contender, this guy can drive!!

Come on up some time, that next ones at Cherry Point Air Station and it's a double (Sat/Sun). I want be able to make that one, but may do Triad Sports Car Club in Greensboro in 2 weeks, at the UNCG Park-An-Ride lot. I'll post the link for that one and the next NCR Event I plan to run.

yea. I think the next one I would be able to do is the october event. Still recovering from wedding. Also there is talk about buying a house at the end of the year.. we will see.

Nice times. You guys got alot of fast people there. I really wanna test my skills against some of them. I am coming in 1st overall in pax running stf. The last event, after body kit and the MicroImage vented hood, they threw me in SMF. I placed 11th overall pax out of 60. After doing the math, I would have come in first again, even with the added weight of the body kit.

Hope you can make it up, we need to double team the dominate Mazda2 and show them the Yaris can kick butt! I just finished installing my Tokicos and TRD springs, can't wait to see how much difference it will make. Got a few more tricks up my sleeve before I'm done, but like you we're talking new house so may have to sell some other stuff before continuing on!!

Let me do some searching, might be able to locate a hood. My Brother-In-Law runs a body shop, he might be able to source one for you!

Hey just checked Rock Auto Parts, they have replacement hoods for $53, not sure what the shipping cost would be, but might be worth a try!!
