Hood deflectors available in the US now.

I've found some hood deflectors for the LB and sedan. They're not the Toyota Canada ones, but they are UV and scratch resistant acrylic just like the Toyota ones.

The site doesn't have actual pics. of the ones for the Yaris, but here they are:

LB:
http://www.toyotapartsstore.com/prod...oducts_id=6958

Sedan:
http://www.toyotapartsstore.com/prod...oducts_id=6959

They're made by a company called "Focus Auto Designs, Inc.". I just ordered one for my '09 5-door LB. The hood looks exactly like the '08 LB's hood so I hope it fits.

Good find.
Someone get one so I can compare.
I still might have my eyes towards the factory model.

I've got one on the way for my 5-door LB. I'll post pics. as soon as I get it. Does anyone have more detailed pics. or some kind of installation guide / manual for the Toyota branded one from Canada?

I contacted Langley Toyota and Peace Arch Toyota in Canada and they said they can't ship the Toyota branded ones to the US.

I looked up the company / brand of this hood deflector I ordered (Focus Auto Design, Inc.) and they're Canadian company. Maybe they make these for Toyota?

I can tell you how my Fit's hood deflector was attached.
It came with really thick, kind of like clear bra, stickers that wrapped around the area which a rubber-like clamp screwed tight between the underside of your hood and the topside, about tree or four spots holds it in place.

Not sure but you can make out four tabs.
Should be really simular to this

I know there was a better pic somewhere put threads are hard to come by these days

Looks good! Now AutoVentShade and Weathertech need to release in-channel vent visors for the 5-door LB. Here are some pics. of the Toyota branded one:

Here are the 3 pages of that group buy thread:

If they still had that group buy going, I would have purchased one from them instead.

Cali, what's the price for one of these OEM Canada ones from you?

The one I bought from ToyotaPartsStore was $80 after shipping.

Not to be a spoilsport, but, WHY???
Does it do anything?
The installations I've seen on other vehicles (such as trucks) all were on a horizontal surface (the hood) that they protruded above and thus could actually deflect some air-flow.

This product on the Yaris looks to be 8" below the bottom of the windshield and doesn't appear to even have a lip at the top...

My '07 had some pretty nasty chips on the hood in areas that would be protected by this deflector.

Damn dusty / rocky desert highways.

Has anyone heard from Doc Zaius or know how to get a hold of him?
