Can Anyone Confirm Armrest Fit in 2010 LB?

http://shop.microimageonline.com/pro...&categoryId=-1

The price is right, but I'm reluctant to order for my 2010 unless I know it fits. Anything change with the center console from '09 to '10?

Thanks!

No changes have been made year over year. You're good.

I just installed a 2009 factory one on my 2010 5 door LB, the metal hook 90 deg was tiiiiight, but
it installed fine and works great.

so....I reckon the console is the same. I do not know about the specific one in that link.

I do miss arm rest storage. factory one is really just an armrest. nothing else. kinda bummed...

Ordered it just now. It should be fine. And, as a new Yaris owner, today I just discovered that the area on the dash in front of the driver is yet another storage bin. :) This is great stuff.

question has been answered... I'll just say I've gone through fazes of wishing I had one, and then being happy I don't... back and forth... if it was a little cheaper I'd already have one. Maybe someday.

Enjoy the new yaris!

I find the material a bit coarse on bare arms during longer drives. I cut the foot out of a black cotton sock, turned it inside out and slid it bottom up over the arm rest to soften it. Add the other one if you want it softer yet.

I should be able to confirm fit and upload a photo later today/tonight. It's scheduled for delivery today. Can't wait!

I think you should be happy with it. I got mine from Garm a few weeks back and i'm pretty happy with it. Very comfortable, they should have come with this one from the factory

Hmm... it's very nicely made, but . . it just sits in there (cupholder)? Seems a bit wobbly, and although I see two phillips screws on the bottom of it, it sure doesn't seem like they'd secure it.

I removed the felt-like disc at the bottom of the cupholder in the console, which revealed a hex screw. I removed the screw. Dropped in the armrest, but despite my best efforts, I can get that original screw (or the brass one shipped with the armrest) to reach down into the threads. It lines up OK, but it seems I'll need to dig around for a longer screw.

UPDATE: For the 2010 3 DR LB, I had to pick up an M6-1.00 X 30 Hex Cap Screw (Pack of 4 at Lowe's - Hillman P/N #880657).
That reached fine, and did a good job of securing it. Nice!

The factory option armrest is tall and holds my elbow high enough where I can easily hold the steering wheel. It has a sturdy metal rod brace that secures it under the seat mounts. The cup holder is less vulnerable and deeper. It does flip up and out of the way but it lacks any storage. By adding a couple layers of extra padding inside and and a soft sock on the outside it really is perfect for me. Others with longer arms may not like it.

+1

i have an '07 liftback, got the same arm rest from micro image and although i love the fit, the original screw nor the one provided will reach far enough to lock it down...i too am now planning a trip to the hardware store in order to get a bit longer screw...

on a side note, it actually fits quite snug even without screwing it down so, i've been considering just letting it sit there for easy removal if i ever wanted to...

photo for armrest

Can someone post some good photos from back/front of this arm rest in place etc so that I can have a clear picture how this look before buying one from microimageonline for my Vitz 2006? I am more interested about the look how it goes between the seats..!!!

I know I could get the basic black one and it would look fine in my Toy Car (2008 LB with that standard blue-dotted fabric), but I love getting my accessories with some color.

When this puppy comes with BLUE accent stitching I am ON IT.

Yes you can. I transfered my armrest from a 2009 HB Yaris to my 2010 HB Yaris. Everything fits.
