Mass air flow sensor cleanin question

So I was at Orielys today to get some mass air flow sensor spray cleaner to do a pm cleaning. The clerk sugessted i put some bulb grease in the electrical plug when i put it back together. So i thought..okay, he must know what he talking about. However, when i pulled the thing apart there was no grease in the plug with multiple wires going to it. I opted not to put the bulb grease in the connection. My question is..was he correct? Is it a good idea to dab some bulb grease in this connecton?

There is a gasket around the connector to prevent water penetration. Rubber/Silicone will eventually dry out and let water in. It is a matter of time, so yeah.. i would definitely put some non-conductive grease in there. But you really don't have to...

Connectors with rubber seals, like the MAF connector really do not need dielectric grease.
