Ideas on an AT Temp Tap Location??

I'm installing a transmission fluid temperature gauge and I simply cannot figure out a place to place the sender unit. Originally, I was going to use the No.1 transaxle nut as shown on page 15 here:

http://etimago.com/yaris/repairmanua...0Transaxle.pdf,

but the part I need basically doesn't exist. I ordered this
(http://www.sunpro.com/product_detail.php?pid=16338),
but it turns out I need an M8 x 1.0 (?).

So uh, I can't find this anywhere online. I haven't bothered with auto / plumbing stores because apparently every store in the states HATES metric units. I was laughed at at Home Depot for even showing the balls to ask for something that isn't English units. ANYWAYS, I digress.

Anybody have any ideas as to where I can place a sender unit?

Send a message via AIM to Nexus1155
You should have told him that he worked at home depot and didn't know anything about the section he works in, because i am sure they must have had SOMETHING useful. Fastenal is where i usually go for anything hardware related.

Look into a tranny filter relocation kit if you can adapt one, no idea if you can. You can add a quart of extra oil and add whatever you need probably

Check out FA-1018 (M8 x 1.0 > 1/8 NPT)

Already checked here. Unfortunately, that's backwards. The side that screws in has to have an M8 size thread, and the adapter portion has to be 1/8 NPT. I've pretty much given up on this location... I even tried to fabricate my own piece today but I couldn't plug the leaks

You could use the FA-1011M and the M10 adapter you listed above.

The fact that I need an adapter for an adapter makes my head hurt, lmao... I'm convinced you're either incredibly bright or I'm overwhelmingly stupid. Or both. Dunno.

CTScott, I am going to have this website renamed "CTScottWorld" as your reward for consistently being sooooooooo helpful
