Did a mock up, I scaled the 2 in the pic until the small was the same as the old tire so this is close to what the new tires will be like!

Oh wow... I hope that's not the case!
I'd be worried about structural damage cutting that much!

You guys will be able to get away with much more rear wheel cutting than us four door hatch drivers. We’d have to end up cutting into the doors haha.

I know that in place of all terrains some Subaru guys run chunky winter tires such as the Firestone Winterforces. They have a relatively aggressive look to them and would be available in sizes smaller than the 27” grabbers.

I'm a 4 door LOL. I've owned grabbers and like the low noise but the AT tread, a lot of the beefy winters are noisey as hell and soft so in summer they melt off the car.

The rear spacers are holding beautifully. Probably 7-9000 km and everything seems great.

Im about half way done the front. I had to buy an electric die grinder. I settled on a rotozip. Was about half the price of an electric die grinder with variable speed. Its basically a dremel but 4 times the size and power. Hopefully can handle the job unlike the mastercraft rotory tool. Im hoping in the next 2 weeks ill be ready to install the front lift. Ive been working out of town and thats been slowing progress down.

Yes. I still have them on the Yaris. If shipping and import fees weren't so crazy to get them to Canada, I'd sell 'em to one of you guys.

If I were to stay with a 25" or so tire, I'd look into rally tires. Still haven't found a "regular" all terrain type tire. Then again, do an eBay search for all terrain 195/75-r14, and you'll see some pop up.

I'd personally stay with 14" wheels in order to keep the weight down a bit. Maxxis Tires have both a mud terrain (Buckshot Mudder) and all terrain (Bighorn MT-762) at a 27x8.5-14 size. Though the specs list them at 26.6" and 26.3", respectively.

Those look good. I thought about something like that but didn't need that much height so went from the top. May re-think it after I see yours installed.

Thanks! I'm not a machinist by any means. And it isn't easy to drill large holes in 1/4" flat stock perfectly spaced and aligned without a large drill press. I ended up drilling smaller holes and ground them out with a carbide burr on a rotozip. All in all, there was 4 lift plates (long ones on the ends), 12 spacer plates to make, and 40 holes to drill and grind out. I'll report back when it's all installed. Honestly not sure when that is. Back out of town tomorrow for work.
