Last November you posted this http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23760

...and now you are out there again looking to trade. I don't get it

I now return you to your original programming. Carry on.

I sympathize with YarisOwnersDad, since I'm a perennial car flipper. The Yaris shouldn't have the crappy resale that it's currently saddled with, but there's been a nasty convergence of negative factors. Unfortunately, it looks like the choice is either to enjoy the Yaris for the foreseeable future or take a big hit in the secondary market.

As with the thread that you mentioned above, car flipping does not make financial sense (although I would never criticize someone for doing so - see sig).

Geez, did I REALLY say all that?

I guess I'm having a relapse.

Tom

P.S.

What I said in that post that WeeYari refers to is all true. I just find it hard to follow my own advice. I guess I have gone so far and am so old now that it doesn't even matter anymore.

My salesman says that he did not mean that there would be a body style change with the 2011 model. He was just saying that if I keep the Yaris until there is a body style change, the resale value would take a hit. I guess the 2012s are supposed to have a change in styling.

He DID say that they are already selling 2010 Yarisses at 2% below invoice in order to make room for the 2011s. That should be good info for you 2010 Yaris shoppers who are wondering what kind of deal you should hold out for.

i think y'all need to keep one new car, and find some older, less expensive toys. mid 80's supras and mr2's are dirt cheap.
