DF 210s powder coat peel

When I recently replaced my Tanabe DF210 springs with some H&R sport springs, I was surprised to see the extent of peeling on them after 2.5 years/30,000 miles of use. The exposed metal was rust coated. Vancouver's wet but not a lot of snow (and no road salt). Also disappointing given their advertising about the double powder coating and corrosion resistance, and the fact I don't let the underside of my vehicle remain dirty.

I get the difference between "corrosion resistance" and "corrosion proof" but the coating performance did not live up to mfg advertising.

Sorry, didn't have the opportunity to take pics of them as I did a spring clean garbage haul. I wouldn't take money for these used springs from a red sox fan (I'm a Yankee fan).

Extent of wear looks slightly less than mine - how long had yours been on (time/mileage)?

I live in Richmond, so therefore Vancouver, as well and my NF210s are starting to chip and wear too. And they're only like a year old.

mine(df210) looked as bad - if not worse - as those. not sure if all brands do that, but i think it has something to do with the metal being compressed/contracted continuously and the location(underneath) on the vehicle. i even washed the vehicle with a soapy pressure washer underneath and it still happened. since mine wasn't a show-car i didn't really care, but still...

maybe they need to start making springs with a rubber coating?
