Finally some decent pics from me!
Ok, a long time ago, prehack era...I posted some night shots that ended up crappy as can be, so with some advice I went out and got a cheapo $15 tripod and got a nice camera (than mine) from my GF, then decided to venture to the closed Dodge dealership near my house, made for some interesting and cool shots under the lights.
Hopefully soon I can get her sister to take some semi-pro pics with her DSLR 7,8 and 11 are my favorites Hope you guys enjoy!

A Yaris in front of a what looks to be an out-of-business Chrysler/Jeep Dealership? That's making a statement!
You should turn on the fog lights, too. |

And I like that C-one Replica Spoiler! Ditto on the foglight recommendation... Cheers! M2 |

Tein basics!
The spoiler is nice, but needs to be refinished... All pics were taken with either no lights or the parking lights, full on lights were causing glare issues

I do think I am the only modded Yaris in St Cloud though, which hard to get because there are about 20 of them total here. Thats just the hatchies...if you count sedans, you get into the 60s. Problem here is, most people who own them are either really old, or are family oriented, and dont care about modding anything.

I'm assuming you still want to get a good photo for the contest.
What I said previously about the difficulty of photographing a black car still holds. You've lost quite a bit of shadow detail in some shots, and one or two are better, but lean toward looking washed out. You don't need all the shadow details, just the important contours: You actually have the luxury of moving the car around this venue so that you can play with how light falls on the car, with long exposures, you can even "paint" the car with a large flash/spot light. For the quarter angle shots, it is preferable not to show tire tread on your turned front wheel. Better to show the rim face on to the camera, like so: If you have some kind of picture processing program, it needn't even be something like Photoshop, because even Picasa works just fine, hit the photo with some sharpening. It makes the picture "pop" out. Keep trying, you're getting better.

night shots are tough, especially for small lenses. I bet the dslr on a tripod will come out well. great looking car!

Getting better. Just pay attention to wheel orientation as stated above. Let me know if you would like me to edit any of these.

meh, just getting used to taking some decent shots with a camera that is worth a damn...My girlfriend has volunteered her sister (Photography Major w/ a DSLR) to come take some day shots, once I get some new stuff for my car installed.
