I rather the airbag not deploy willy-nilly. In both cases the impact wasn't hard enough to send the driver's face into the steering wheel or through the windscreen, so why should the airbag go off to send his head snapping back into the headrest instead?

Look on the bright side, you can start the order process for genuine JDM Vitz RS bumpers and get the bodyshop to patch up the rest. I'd go for the JDM tail lamps too while I'm at it.

What a bummer! Sorry to hear about this. Glad you're alright.

Man it seems the people are accident prone when driving a Yaris. It seems we at least get two crashes per month! Okay maybe not that bad but still!

Sorry about yer loss ..

let's hope they total it then buy back the wreck at salvage price .. rip all the aftermarket & mods off & start agin on a new one . then off the spare parts on ebay (engine, tranny, seats, any esle that you strip ) parts sell on ebay or even Craig's list for that matter where the listing is free !

At least no one got hurt !

eek..... glad to hear you are alright. Paterson cops are meh...... got a ticket for seatbelt there once. I have never been on rt. 20 even though I live in Leonia (around Fort Lee and Pal Park).

Anyways, best of luck fixing it up, and maybe an excuse to get a JDM bumper brace and new bumper while u are at it.

so i did a little bit of math and with the stock parts i have i can atleast save her 857.95 roughly so in theory i can get ether the c-one bumper or the CF c-one hood.. but i dont think she will shell out another 800 out of her pocket 2 get both.. now this is before tax and shipping and what not but i still have to get teh estimat and insurance and see if there going to total or not
