two questions (relating to manual vs. auto)
First, I know the estimated mpg is better with a manual, but those seem to be really big underestimates for some people. I can drive a manual (well), so I was planning on getting one, but there are some automatics that have been quoted, so I was wondering...is there much of a real-world difference between the manuals and autos?
Also, I got a quote for a 2 door liftback automatic with the convenience package for $14,000. They said this was the sale price and it's the best I'll find around. Whether it is or not, they didn't seem open to lowering it (but really, do they ever). How is that? It seemed a little high for me for a sale price, but maybe that's because I've been looking at manuals...I don't want to pay extra for an auto. I'm also shopping around (just on the net so far) in two different regions, so that might cause differences. EDIT: I actually posted about this in the FE section...but I don't see a delete button? Anyway, you can ignore this here. Sorry about that. Last edited by osmoq; 05-21-2010 at 02:03 PM. |
