Light reminder buzzer - Toyota Yaris Forums

Hi,

I just bought a 2008 hatchback Yaris. It's a canadian version. I realized that there is no light reminder buzzer although the fonction is mentioned on the owner's manual.

The technician at the Toyota dealer told me that my car didn't come with this feature.

I called Toyota Canada and they said that it should comes with the buzzer.

Who's right and who's wrong?

Does the buzzer come on if you leave your seatbelt off and start driving or if you leave the key in the ignition and open the door? The same buzzer is used for all three functions. If it doesn't come on for any, then the prior owner may have snipped the buzzer off of the circuit board.

My '06 HB LE buzzes. I'd say the tech is wrong. There are probably some '08s on your Toyota lot. Go out to one with the technician and see what happens.
