What on earth is with that head unit that looks like it was stolen from a Scion?

I wonder if the rumors are true that they are "discontinuing" the sedan in North America.

Well if they make the LB in a 4 door do they really need the sedan?

Can't wait to see this in person, but I guess I'll have to wait a bit.

Wow what a let down, not impressive at all. I had REALLY hoped Toyota would offer a smaller engine size, or perhaps a 5/6-speed automatic or CVT transmission. Fuel economy isn't impressive at all considering the Yaris's competition these days.
http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2...lapalooza.html Same 1.5L engine as outgoing model, I imagine the same 4-speed auto & 5-speed manual tranny 30/35 mpg city/hwy, from 29/35 on the current model No Toyota Touch nav system |

If this is any indication, then it has a tach:

I don't see why Toyota would go out of its way to design new gauge clusters just for the US market. If the gauge clusters are consistent between the Japanese and European models, then the NA version having the same gauge cluster is completely logical. There's an actual fuel gauge. In pictures of the Japanese and European versions, that actual fuel gauge is opposite of a tachometer. Therefore, it is almost absolutely certain that the model shown at Lollapalooza had a tach.
