Question 2007 Yaris p0304 / alternator

A week ago today I went to start the car, and there was absolutely no power. Called AAA. The first thing that I was told was that they do not replace Yaris batteries....okay.

Towed where AAA said to take it. Diagnosis: Alternator. Left it there, next day paid $435 and started to drive home. Car died but was able to get to the side of the road. Called place, no answer. Tried starting the car, it worked, gave some gas for a few minutes and just let it idle. It has been fine since. Yesterday I noticed when turning on the blinker it was extremely fast.

I decided even though I see no check engine light on that I would connect my code reader anyway. It came up with p0304. I erased it, and it has not come back on.

I looked up the code, and well I can't make sense as to whether or not the alternator has anything to do with that code.

Fast blinker must be a bulb burnt. Put 4 way and check every light.

P0304 seems to be miss fire from cylinder 4. Maybe a faulty coil pack or a loose connection.

What are the details around the stall?,at a light , cruising, on throttle or off throttle. Is your car a manual or automatic.
Signal lights usually when there is a change in resistance it causes the lights to blink faster ,which side blinks faster.?Have you installed LEDs?

I came to a red light, when it turned green I gave it gas, within seconds it died. I was able to get to the side of the road though. It's an Automatic

Everything on the vehicle is stock including the lights.

Also, the mechanic I go to said its probably the socket and that I would have to go to Toyota for that. Well, after waiting a half hour at Toyota they want $89 just to look. What is wrong with everything these days? Some people I'm sure take their Toyotas to Toyota for everything and Ford to Ford, BMW to BMW. Others take their vehicles to a mechanic they choose. Why would he tell me to go to Toyota?
