Help! Tein S-tech with 195/55/15 will it rub?? - Toyota Yaris Forums

Hi all,

My ride is currently with Tanabe NF spring, i still find it not low enough for my car wheel set-up. Will prefer a slightly lower than NF without any chances of getting the rubber rub on my fender.

Is Tein S-tech lower or Tanabe DF lower? I read many reviews on the Tanabe DF with lots rubbing issue. Pls help as i'm considering between this 2 brand of springs.

Questions:
Tein S-tech lower or Tanebe DF lower--------=
Tein S-tech harder or Tanebe DF harder------=
Which one will rub less-----------------------=

Thank you if anyone could share with me on the above questions.

My current rims is: SSR Type-F 15x7 offset 42.
Tyres: Yokohama A-drive 195/55/15
Hub spacer: Rear 13mm
Spring: Tanabe NF spring

it will fit perfectly fine Those rims/tires on DF will not rub also...

I cannot tell you which one is harder but im pretty sure DFs are lower

Both of them will not rub with that tire size and 42 offset

I believe that the S. Tech's are just a tad stiffer

The S.Tech's are both lower and stiffer than the DF's.

The S.Tech's drop the LB 1.9" all around and have spring rates of 3.0kg in the front and 3.5kg in the rear. The DF's drop the LB 1.6" in the front and 1.8" in the rear have have spring rates of 3.0kg in the front and 2.2kg in the rear.

In terms of springs, I would get the S.Tech's first (which I do have btw), the TigerTec's (avaible from Micro Image) second, and then the rest of the market.

The S.Tech's shouldn't be a problem with your rims and tire set up.

Those were manufacturer specs.

Thanks guys for all opinion and advises. I shall go on and try the s tech for something different from my current NF.
