When: JULY 18, 2009 . 9 AM Where: NC Aboretum in Asheville NC going to Cherokee NC ( Blue Ridge Parkway ) Chill out , bring your better half , and a picnic basket . There are plenty of places to have a picnic and many scenic vistas on the Parkway . There is also a huge hidden BBQ area so many people can eat together . Be sure to pack some swimwear b/c the Icy water in Cherokee will feel just right on a hot July day .
